Bella Abzug (Exhibition)
I was walking in the vicinity of Union Square, NYC, with my little Rollei 35 in my pocket, noticed a crowd, and went to investigate. Bella Abzug, who had served in the House of Representatives for six years and co-authored the Freedom of Information Act, was campaigning for the Democratic nomination for Senate (she lost by less than one percent). Courageous and effective, she was the first Congressperson to call for the impeachment of Richard Nixon but also won the respect of her adversaries.
