The Leica Forum at dpreview.com (Digital Photography Reviews) periodically hosts theme-based “Challenges” that are mounted on the “leica_forum” pages at pbase.com. These Challenges, which run roughly monthly and last about three weeks each, always consist of two “Galleries”. The Competition Gallery is restricted to photos made with a Leica camera (or a camera with a Leica lens) during the shooting period mandated for that particular Challenge. The Exhibition Gallery is open to any photo made with any camera at any time, as long as it conforms to the theme. I have been contributing to these Challenges since #3 (February 2007). The Challenges are great practice for maintaining flexibility and keeping the eye alert.
