The First Set at McKenzie Pond Boulders is less than a minute's walk from the road. It consists of five named boulders plus a number of others. The first one the trail encounters is called "The Front." Between it and "Makaia," there is passage into a boulderland courtyard beyond which stands "Sweetpea." All three have established routes and, given their proximity to the road, are heavily climbed.
